Dr. Matthew Riffle has served as Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center’s Internal Medicine Program Director since 2021 when the program received initial ACGME accreditation. Dr. Riffle, a St. Louis native, graduated from St. Louis University School of Medicine and has been a resident of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and served as an Internal Medicine physician here since 1988.
BiographyDr. Roland Njoh has served as an Interventional Cardiologist with Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center since 2018 and has been a Core Faculty member for the Internal Medicine Residency Program since 2021. In July 2023, Dr. Njoh accepted the position of Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine program. Prior to coming to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, Dr. Njoh completed a Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology fellowship in Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey.
BiographyCaitlyn Wilfong currently serves as the GME Program Coordinator for Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center’s Internal Medicine Residency Program. Caitlyn has been with Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center since May 2014 in various roles with the most recent prior to GME Program Coordinator being Physician Recruiter where she recruiter and onboarded over 20 new Physicians and Mid-Levels.
BiographyDr. Mohanad Alfaqih has been a Core Faculty member for Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center’s Internal Medicine Residency Program since 2021. Dr. Alfaqih has been a Pulmonology/Critical Care physician at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center since 2016.
BiographyDr. Syed Anees completed his internal medicine residency at St. Vincent hospital in Indianapolis where he was awarded Resident of The Year two years in a row. He is now a hospitalist at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center where he is also completing his fellowship in Administrative Medicine.
BiographyDr. Lance Majors completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center where he also served as the Assistant Professor of Medicine. Dr. Majors has served as a Core Faculty member for Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center’s Internal Medicine Program since January 1, 2024.
