Dr. Ugochukwu Egolum completed his medical education at the University of Nigeria College of Medicine. He selected Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center’s Internal Medicine Residency Program due to his strong affinity for the Poplar Bluff area and his envisioning of a future career in the location or other similar locations. Dr. Egolum’s aspiration is to further his knowledge in hospital medicine and procedures and provide treatment to ailing individuals in rural communities who are really in need of assistance due to inadequacy in healthcare. He feels that the residency program size will allow him to grow interpersonal professional relationships with colleagues and faculty and acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to practice medicine.
